I’m extremely disappointed in the service. It’s really bad and they do not feel bad about it. It took 40mins to get my to go order. I ordered queso they gave me no chips. They gave me salsa no chips. At this point I’m just eating bc I paid for it and I’m hungry.

I love this place, food is bomb

Disappointed - The service was bad and the drinks were water down. We ordered extra salsa and it arrived ten minutes later after we had finished our chips. The food was average and took a long time to get to us. The waitress never came back to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. As we were leaving I watched the bartender pouring a German beer into a Corona Beer Bottle to be passed off as a Corona. This is not the same place I have gone to in the passed and had wonderful service and food; NOT GOOD!

I was surprised to find some really good Mexican food in Germany. The prices are decent although you do have to pay in cash which could be an issue for San.

Pretty much the best TexMex you can find in the area. If you have been deprived for awhile you will love it. If you don’t know better you will love it. If your a negative Nancy you will say this doesn’t match the stuff I’m used to in the states. I always enjoy eating here all things being said the food is pretty good.

Pretty decent

I rarely give 5 stars, but I can do that with a clear conscience. The food was very authentic and really very good. It is very close to the original. The service was friendly and quick. And the prices are really humane. update: Our 2nd visit was unfortunately not so nice. We had another waitress who was very rude. We had to wait 1 hour between the starter and the main course, which is a bit stupid with children. The food was good, but not as good as the first time. Therefore I subtract 2 stars again.

Good food

A nice cozy restaurant with a Mexican setting and Latin music playing. The food was great, price was adquate for two, and the service was quick. I recommend this place, if you want a Mexican type cuisine. Keep in mind that it's not authentic and they accept CASH only. That's why I gave a 4 star. It's 2020 and they don't take cards. That's disappointing.

Coming from El Paso where Mexican food is as authentic as you can get and still be in America, I was nervous to eat Mexican food at all in Germany. Well, Tortuga was actually pretty authentic. Their food was pretty authentic. And the service and ambiance was great.

I was expecting a good Mexican here. However, my expectations were exceeded many times over. Great taste, very authentic Mexican food and at a really justified price. The interior is very attractive, well decorated and clean. Of course, the very good and above all friendly service should also be mentioned. Very courteous, from booking by phone to ordering & paying. The only point of criticism, which is probably not so well received by American guests -> no card payment. With the size of the restaurant, this should be possible.

Was seated and wasn’t asked for food or drink until after 40 mns of being seated, hostess did not tell waitress she had another table. Another 35 mns for our food to come out, and it was pasable at best. This is not Mexican food, it’s barely Tex mex food.

The service and food was extremely fast—we were seated immediately, were able to order shortly after receiving our menus, and received our plates all within 25 minutes of our arrival. The food itself was really good and just the right amount of spicy—this coming from a South-Texas gal who is used to Mexican food. Was it perfectly authentic? Not exactly. The nachos did taste a little like movie theater nachos, but the Longhorn plate (pictured) was so good (and the portions were fantastic) that it made up for it! The service and location was really good, too. Honestly, the only thing I would improve, besides more parking (which is understandably limited) is for them to accept credit cards... We got stuck with not enough Euro cash for the bill, and my husband had to drive to an ATM down the street. To be fair, they had a big sign upon walking in that said no cards accepted, which we totally overlooked (after being so excited for Mexican Food). Five stars, will come back again!

Great service and food quality! Fresh vegetables and good meat. Friendly staff who are dedicated and it appears to be a family owned place. Limited parking and seating. Not at all authentic Tex Mex but a nice change for Germany.

Great place! Best Mex is Europe..:not like there’s a ton of competition, BUT!— trust us, we’ve tried... Seriously, a good place, reasonable prices, pleasant staff, and good food. Bring cash— Cash only. I thought this place was going to be on an American military base, but somehow it’s not, which is Awesome! Great margs... oh, and to that person who said the margaritas were weak... try again. This place is worth a visit.

My margarita was amazing! They're definitely not stingy with the tequila. Food was amazing too!

The map is a bit confusing, but the content fits. The portions are generous and the food is well balanced and freshly prepared. In my opinion TexMex kitchen above the standard. The journey is worthwhile. Reservation necessary. There is a lot of English spoken among the guests and the service.

The food is really good. The service is no nonsense, quick and efficient. Some of the best guacamole I have had. The shortfall is the margaritas. I think they are a mix, and just not refreshing if that makes sense? Way too sweet too. A great margarita makes up for a lot, but haven’t gotten one here. But the wine is really good and not badly priced. I know right?
